"Skyrace Pikey Peak" by Columbia Sportswear Nepal offers an exhilarating racing experience through the stunning Lower Solukhumbu region, including reaching the majestic Pikey Peak at 13,336 feet. This unique race starts and ends in Phaplu Town, encompassing iconic villages and mid-altitude trails with breathtaking views of the world's highest peaks, including Mt. Everest. The event introduces an entry-level trail race and fun run, making it accessible to beginners.

Notably, participants will have the extraordinary privilege of finishing among 500 monks praying for peace at the Chiwong Gumba on October 21st. The race is organized by the Nepal Trail Series, backed by the experienced team from the Kathmandu Trail Race Series by Trail Running Nepal, and carries the legacy of the 4th Bhojpur Trail Race. Beyond racing, the event supports local causes, aiming to encourage mountain running sports, provide employment opportunities for youth, and contribute to the Chiwong Gumba sanitation project for the benefit of children and female monks.

Participate in the challenging SKY ULTRA 50, covering 54.89 km with a 4397m ascent and 4084m descent. The race begins and concludes in the picturesque Phaplu town.

Maximum Race Time: 14 hours.

TRAIL RACE 33K

Engage in the entry-level trail race spanning 33.75 km, featuring a 2308m ascent and 2138m descent. The race will commence and conclude in Phaplu town.

Maximum Race Time: 12 hours.

RACE CLOSING CEREMONY AT CHIWONG MONASTERY

As the sun sets over the Solukhumbu region, we invite you to be part of a historic event at the Chiwong Monastery.

Join us for the race closing ceremony at this 100-year-old spiritual haven, where 500 monks and nuns will conclude their month-long, awe-inspiring endeavor—reciting 11 million chants of Guru Vajra for World Peace.

This profound moment occurs just before their grand festival, Mane Rimdu, also known as "The Dance of the Gods." It's a unique and spiritually enriching experience that combines tradition, spirituality, and athleticism, making it an unforgettable way to close our race event.
