SODVELON, the Society of Dermatologists, Venereologists & Leprologists of Nepal has been organizing the annual scientific conference SODVELONCON annually for the last 16 years. This year the 17th SODVELONCON is going to be held on 21st & 22nd April (8th & 9th Baisakh) in Kathmandu, Nepal with the theme " Breakthrough in integrated dermatology." We are anticipating participation from most of the dermatologists and dermatology residents from different parts of Nepal. We have also invited a few eminent dermatologists from the neighboring countries and we expect few more to attend our national conference. This forum will be an excellent opportunity for the dermatologists & residents to learn from the experts, participate and present their research works & interact with each other.

OBJECTIVES OF THE 17th SODVELONCON'23

1. To update research in different fields of dermatology
2. To train junior doctors in the field of PRP, skin prick tests, and injectables. 
3. To update knowledge in STI and leprosy 
4. To promote camaraderie amongst dermatologists of Nepal
5. To allow a pharmaceutical company to showcase their product
6. To continue the legacy of the annual national meeting of all the dermatologists associated with the society of Dermatologists, Venereologists, and Leprologists of Nepal
7. To integrate other disciplines of medicine with dermatology for combined patient management decision

Dear Colleagues,

Namaste and Greetings from Nepal

On behalf of Society of Dermatologist, Venereologist and Leprologist of Nepal (SODVELON). I am pleased to extend my warmest welcome to you all in joining the 17th National Conference (SODVELONCON) 2023 physically after a long hiatus due to the Pandemic.  The theme of the conference on “Breakthrough in Integrated Dermatology” is aptly selected, Dermatology itself is very rapidly evolving and has grown in all parameters. We intend to cross-link clinical dermatology with aesthetic and other clinical aspects pertaining to the core subject. The national conference and the array of academic feasts will help bring us all closer and update our knowledge. I assure you all that this conference, would definitely help us enrich and broaden our horizons in terms of interactive learning and updating.

I would personally and on behalf of the executive committee would like to thank the organising chairman and her team for gladly taking up the responsibility and wish the team a great success.

Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the Organizing Committee, 17th SODVELONCON, I take the pleasure of welcoming you to this scientific fiesta going to take place in Kathmandu, Nepal.

With the theme "Breakthrough in Integrated Dermatology", we plan to make this event a special opportunity for dermatologists to interact, learn and share knowledge with experts of different specialties and vice versa. I also hope this conference will  emphasize the multidisciplinary approach in dermatology so that we can all work together for the betterment of our patients.

The program has already shaped up to be excellent and the networking opportunities will be indeed outstanding. The backdrop of the beautiful and historic city of Kathmandu especially Budhanilkantha municipality will add to the pleasure of the conference and provide lasting memories.

Dear Friends,

It is our great honor and pleasure to invite you all to our 17th SODVELONCON 2023 which is going to be held in our beautiful city of Kathmandu, Nepal organized by SODVELON. This year’s theme is “Breakthrough in Integrated Dermatology”, in which we are fraternizing with diverse specialties. In this conference not only dermatologist but also internist, rheumatologist, immunologist, psychiatrist, gynecologists, radiologist, neurosurgeon, pediatrician etc., all will be reciprocating their scientific cognizance and will not only make the conference scientifically opulent but also will help in multidisciplinary approach.
