Description

BICON has emerged as a prominent event since 2014, dedicated to addressing the well-being of children and young individuals who lack parental care.

The 5th Biennial International Conference on Alternative Care for Children in Asia (BICON) is scheduled to occur on September 6-7, 2023, in Kathmandu, Nepal. This event will bring together practitioners, government representatives, academics, and young individuals who have experienced alternative care, both in-person and online, to address regional and national challenges, share best practices, and explore emerging trends concerning children's rights and alternative care reform in Asia.

With over 300 delegates from various parts of the world, the conference will encompass plenary sessions, panel discussions, and informal networking opportunities. The outcomes of the event will be compiled into a final report containing actionable recommendations derived from the conference deliberations.
